Welcome to the website of the MINE Program


The School of Economics and Management at TU Berlin invites ambitious students from all over the world to join the Master's Program in Industrial and Network Economics (MINE). It is an international program which is especially designed for highly qualified students with strong interests in quantitative economics and the wish to use economic theory to understand and solve real world problems – in particular in the arena of competition policy, industrial organization, regulation, and infrastructure policy.      

Attention: New regulations coming soon!

Dear current and prospective students! 

We would like to inform you, that: 

  1. With the beginning of the winter semester 2018/19 new study and examination regulations will come into force for the Master’s Program in Industrial and Network Economics (new name: Industrial Economics). There will be no major changes in the structure of the program. The most significant change will be the addition of „ungraded“ modules (not included in the calculation of the final grade). 
  2. New admission regulations will come into effect for all applications from the winter semester 2018/19 onwards (this includes the current application period!). There will be some major changes in the admission requirements:

    • A degree in a related study field must include at least 18 credits (LP) in the area of Quantitative Methods (Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics,...) and 18 credits in the area of Microeconomics (Game Theory, Microeconomics, Industrial Economics,...).
    • Proficiency in English at Level B2 and in German at Level C1!      

New application deadline: June 15, 2018.         

Please be advised that these regulations are not to have effect until approved by the Berlin Senate. These regulations will come into force the day after their publication in the Amtliches Mitteilungsblatt of the TU Berlin.
